Open Call for Applicants / Resumes for Open Board Positions

The PCDA is committed to inclusion and equity and strives to ensure that our Board reflects the diversity of our Membership. We are committed to removing barriers to Board appointment that are faced by equity-seeking groups and encourage (but do not require) members of these groups to self-identify as such in their applications. As well, we encourage applications from outside of Ontario to apply.

The Primary Care Dietitians’ Association is searching for 1-2 current PCDA members to join our Board of Directors.
Board Members Expectations/Commitment

Elected by members for a 2-year term; with a max of 3 renewals
-
Working board, where all member contribute to the function of the Association
-
Time commitment is 1-2hours/month with 4-5 board meetings attendance annually
-
Opportunity to join the Executive on a leadership path to President and Board Chair

PCDA Clinical Excellence Awards

Each year, the PCDA recognizes members who have demonstrated exceptional performance, contributed to the advancement of practice, and been effective and inspiring leaders in their primary care team setting through the following Awards based on our Values:

Medical Nutrition Therapy

Team-based and/or Inter-professional Care
-
Health Equity
Nominate yourself or your colleague in one (or all) of these categories for the Dietitian’s role in:
Education and Internship, Resource Development and Sharing and/or Innovation and Leadership
Qualifications

A member of the PCDA
-
Demonstrated innovation, creativity and excellence in leadership in specific area of practice for which nominated

Exceptional performance in practice, contributions to the advancement of practice and leadership achievements in nutrition related organizations
Submission
In 500 words or less please outline what Value and Category and/or submit any outcome data, patient outcomes, patient feedback, video or actual programming created. The format is not as important as hearing how you, or your colleague are a shining example of a primary care dietitian.
Recipients of the Award will receive Recognition from the PCDA and their colleagues, free access to the following year’s Annual Conference, and a $200 honorarium for their work and achievements.
